Joshua Trust Reed is A writer, Director, and Photographer.

Throughout my time in Atlanta, I took thousands of pictures documenting the experience of the daily life of students there, in a project that became known as Life In The AUC. These photos are some of the first I captured on color film. Throughout my time at Morehouse College, I became increasingly interested in capturing the social life of America’s HBCU's (Historically Black Colleges and Universities).

My senior thesis at Morehouse College produced for the Morehouse CTEMS 2019 Senior Capstone Course, was called “Mezzo Piano”. It tells the story of a violinist who is hard of hearing attempts to communicate with a young woman. You can see the rest of my films here.

In January 2020, thousands of protestors across the nation protested the American drone strike in Baghdad which killed Iran’s top security and intelligence commander. I’ve always believed in photography’s ability to capture the zeitgeist of the times we live in.
